( Maria can't actually believe that she'd forgotten about it, but with the state of her head on the day of the jump and not going back to her locker until now? It had been an easy thing to slip her mind - if she'd even paid much attention to it in the first place )
There's a sample of a fluid that appeared in my locker at the jump. Would you be able to take a look at it?
Ward was downed in a lift coming out of medical. I think it was just an ICER, but I got him to 044 084 to regroup. You need to get here fast: whoever got him is still out there.
[ Because what he needs now is another panic attack. He switches to voice, quick; he's already outside of his room, at the nearest lift, but his hand freezes over the control panel when he realizes he has no idea where he's going. ]
Where?
[ Short and a bit breathless, because there's no point in pretending he's calm. ]
As a member of the Xenobiology and Genetics department, your peers are as follows:
Professor Charles Xavier (CXO » 026 » 100) Dorian Pavus (SCI » 039 » 074) Doctor Jemma Simmons (SCI » 042 » 060) Doctor Milagros Gallo (SCI » 034 » 097) Felix Gaeta (SCI » 043 » 113) Doctor Brigid Tenenbaum (--- » 044 » 052)
* Dr Tenenbaum is our latest recruit. Please ensure she feels welcome and knowledgeable.
* I have indicated to Mystique, who is conducting the Non/Inter-Department Volunteer Programme, that Xenogen will be happy to take temps, but that we will not need them on an ongoing bases. Essentially, if you require a volunteer or assistant and do not have any on hand, please consult with this list for those that indicated interest.
* Last cycle, the population of the ship experienced near debilitating headaches and bleeds from the nose/eyes/ears that seemed only treatable via physical contact. Manifestations occurred too in the form of empathetic shares and hallucinations. I won't rehash everything that has been said, but I will link the relevant network posts about the topic below, as I haven't had an opportunity to collate a proper case file just yet, as study is ongoing, but I have made a start.
The pain/injury aspects have worn off since the jump, but the empathetic/hallucinations aspect remains. As I have said previously and would like to emphasise now: I believe these aspects are within our personal control, and I also believe is is prudent that we develop control. This may feel counter-intuitive to those that do not have personal experience with having supernatural or superhuman abilities, and I'd like to offer my own assistance if you would like help in training your control. I have some experience in this area. Conversely, if you do too, I would appreciate your insight and assistance.
In turn, I believe that through the empathetic aspect if nothing else, people who train up in learning control will then be able to teach others as effectively or even more so than I. If you feel confident in this, eventually, please consider paying it forward by helping others.

* A few cycles back, we as a department underwent space-flight training, but practically all of you have rotated in since then. I am going to schedule in some time for us to undergo these sessions. This is more than just learning to fly a shuttle, but concerns basic survival in space, and we are, indeed, in space. I would really appreciate we all do this.
* Administrative nonsense: with exception to our latest recruit, everyone has updated their profiles, which is brilliant. Please also remember to add any cases you're working on on our database. If you don't, I shan't share any of my baking.
less of what you can do for me and for what you can do with our mutual friend, Ivan you'll remember the vampire that was brought in a while ago
there's another of his ilk onboard and I was struck again by their apparent constant need for a certain quality of blood I approached Ivan about XG lending its assistance in discovering a better supplement than what's available in medical and I'm going to meet with him to talk about it in a little more depth, but he indicated cooperation
I was wondering if perhaps yourself and Dr Gallo would like to work together on it
good. Dr Gallo would be able to lend insight about magical solutions, as I think her skillset involves the manipulation of blood, but the ultimate goal would of course be to find a solution that does not entirely hinge on the skills of one. I'll maintain contact with Ivan as well and see if there are any insights to be gained from a psychological perspective.
I have spoken with Professor Xavier regarding the blood project. As I discussed with him, I will be able to provide an alternative supply that should support the subject without difficulty, and will work with you regarding efforts to replicate what I can do through other means. I've made a file available to Professor Xavier regarding a previous patient of mine who had a taint in her blood that would in time lead to a transformation; a very different situation that may nevertheless shed interesting light and new perspective on this one, and I'd invite you to discuss any questions regarding that and my methods with me.
I will not be dealing directly with the subject.

[Well, of course he is, because Skye said he was shot with just an ICER, but that's not even the bigget problem here.
Although to Jemma, it's still a problem.]
He's still alive and he's with Skye!

[Because she can't go back for a weapon, can't wait for back-up. Jemma can only move forward, and hope that Skye is still there when she gets there.]

I would be most happy to with Doctor Gallo. It's for the good of everyone involved. Maybe even a cure could be found eventually.
